ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS

Group meetings for individuals with problems with alcohol. Open Monday, 8:00am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 4:00pm, and Tuesday to Friday, 8:00am to 7:00pm. Help line open 24hrs/day, 7 days/week.

ALMAGE SENIOR COMMUNITY CENTRE

Community meals, income tax clinic, mini bus transport, blood pressure clinic, classes, and recreational activities. Home support services include: medical transport, transport errands, accompaniment, friendly visit, friendly call, information & referral, and advocacy. Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm.

ALS-ASSISTED LIVING SERVICES: ‘YOUNG ADULTS DAY PROGRAM’

Community-based day program for adults with special needs, which offers computer-based training, recreational and leisure activities, Snoezelen room relaxation and sensory activities, practical math and money skills, exposure to community resources, self-discover, relationship building, practice in assertiveness and development of conflict resolution and coping strategies.

ALZHEIMER AND COGNITIVE DISORDERS CLINIC

Expertise in early diagnosis and management of Alzheimer’s disease and cognitive disorders, referral to help and support services, evaluation, treatment, follow-up and clinical trials.

Information for individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and related disorders and their family members. Monday to Thursday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, and Friday, 9:00am – 4:00pm.

ALZHEIMER SOCIETY MONTREAL

Welcome and referral, clinical services such as individual and family counselling, support groups and monthly exchange groups, specialized education services at three activity centres, interactive workshops, education and awareness through conferences and training sessions. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm.

AMAL CENTER FOR WOMEN

Individual services such as consultation with a social worker, referral, monthly meetings with legal counsellors, accompaniment, food baskets and informative group workshops, and outreach services including consultation with community organizations, workshops and events raising awareness about domestic abuse. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 5:00pm.
